Update: IrRemote and Coreplayer edging closer to release

Coreplayer and Total IrRemote are two of the most anticipated S60 3rd edition apps. We’ve been waiting for both of these apps for some time now, that’s why I thought I’d update on the situation. Coreplayer is a media player similar to Lonely Cat Games’ SmartMovie. Version 1.1 of both the bare bones and paid version are planned for release by August 20th. As for Total IrRemote I have previously posted that: “ It seems that the app itself is done but they are now working on the database with IR devices and also developing system to manipulate it.” As for the latest news, the guys from Psiloc state that:

We are working really hard to release the application as soon as possible. Work is going quite smooth but release date still can't be precised. Just please be a little bit more patient.

I can’t wait to get my hands on both applications as especially the Total IrRemote will really come in handy. Coreplayer will compete directly with Smartmovie, and will be interesting to see which one comes out on top.
